The last 2000 years of human history was the "Agragian Age" where farming and whoever owned the land, controlled the wealth.
The "Industrial Age" brought about in the 20th century produced corporate giants including Andrew Carnegie and Henry ford with their huge steel and car companies which dominated the business world. The wealth was then controlled by factory owners.
At the birth of the millenium onwards (2000), with the rise of the internet, businesses moved into a new age. "The Information Age"'. Today, companies like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram, and other social media sites are changing the business world.
Today, it about building and owning the networks.
